Aug 5th 2007

Well the sun shone today down Wanda way but the waves were pretty average. Howling sou-sou wester bumping up the 2 foot swell.

Good to see some new and old faces at an SKC comp. Pleased to see the return of 3 x SKC (aka Southside etc) champ and current World Champ Gavin Colman along with new boys, Damian Gaynon, Garry Booker and Ross Dillon.

And it was two of the new boys who led the way in today's Final:

New Club Comp for August.

Hello SKC crew,

Couple of things:

1. Thanks for those who voted regarding the Treachery comp. There were 12 votes with 5 yes and 7 no. Therefore, (unless about 5 of you change your mind ...... very quickly or more votes come in) the comp will be a local one on the Sunday and probably at Garie.

2. At the last comp, I forgot we had one more regular club comp before the Club Challenge. As a result of that and a couple of approaches from potential new members, I have delayed the vote for the CC team. The eligibility for the team is that you must be a financial or life member and have surfed in at least 1 comp this year. Note: I'm a hoping to see a few "old" faces at the next comp and we'll vote on the team then.

3. Next comp - SUNDAY 5 AUGUST - WANDA
